  1. Set Goals

    Have a plan. And make sure your work advances you towards those goals.

  2. Avoid Procrastinating

    Don’t avoid tasks, get them done, or get them off your list by delegating or dropping them.

  3. Be Consistent

    Work steadily and regularly toward your goals – short bursts of productivity are nice, but in the end, consistent productivity will get more done.

  4. Keep Things in Perspective

    Equipment failures, difficult co-workers, complaining customers, and failed projects WILL happen. Ask yourself – “Will these things matter a year from now”? Don’t stress yourself out trying to control things you have no control over.

  5. Develop and USE a System

    Find a system that works for you to keep things organized – a way for you to consistently get things written down and into a place you trust will do wonders for your stress and productivity because then you aren’t worrying about the things you didn’t do, and can focus on what you are doing right now.

  6. Get Organized

    Get rid of the clutter at your workspace, invest in simple tools to keep things organized and easy to find when you need them. (something as simple as a pen cup will help!) Don’t waste your precious time hunting down things you need

  7. Think and Reflect

    Keep mindful of your goals, don’t let yourself slip into a trap of being busy without being productive. Be conscious of the tasks you are doing, and why.

  8. Automate

    Review the things you do on a regular and basis and automate those you can. Certain bills, email responses, and many other things can be automated so you can ‘set it and forget it’, freeing your mind and time for other things.

  9. Don’t Neglect Your Health

    You  will increase your productivity if you are healthier – with more focus and more energy. Get enough sleep, eat well, and exercise regularly.

  10. Enjoy the process

    If you aren’t enjoying the journey you are on the wrong path. There are always tasks we don’t like doing, but do them with a smile knowing you are doing them well, and towards a goal.
