Tina asks…

Hi Renee,
Have a question…how do you delete the addresses from something that was forwarded to you? Some of these fw’s are really neat, but have a gazillion addresses on them that makes it difficult to forward.
Appreciate your help.

Hi Tina!

The easiest way to clean up all of the excess ‘junk’ that accumulates in forwarded emails, including the mile-long list of email addresses and the half mile worth of signatures at the end, is to copy the portion of the email you want to forward, and paste it into a brand new email message.

Depending on what email interface you are using, you can usually hit the ‘forward’ button, then delete out the portions of the email you do not want to include. Sometimes, this is good practice when replying, as well. Make sure that the portion of an email you are responding to is included in your reply, but delete things that aren’t relevant like duplicated signatures and parts of the conversation to which you are not replying. This makes it easier for the recipient to know what you are referring to, and also results in a shorter, cleaner message.

Thanks for the question!
