In an effort to break myself of a serious technology addiction, I have decided to sell some of my electronics. These need good homes and loving owners 🙂
Kindle Fire, Kindle Touch, Kindle Keyboard, MacBook Pro
For sale: Amazon Kindle Touch 3G with lighted leather cover. $150
Why: By far my favorite Kindle. When reading, I prefer the e-ink of the Kindle family, and have had a Kindle since the first one came out. The only reason I am letting this one go is because I just happen (ahem) to know I am getting a Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas 🙂 The Kindle Touch is light, fast, and in my opinion the best user interface of the Kindle family I have owned to date. (This is NOT the “special offers” one that displays ads)
Specs (from Amazon):
Amazon’s 6″ diagonal most advanced E Ink multi-touch display, optimized with proprietary waveform and font technology, 600 x 800 pixel resolution at 167 ppi, 16-level grayscale. 6.8″ x 4.7″ x 0.40″ (172 mm x 120 mm x 10.1 mm). 7.8 ounces (220 grams). 4 GB internal memory. Supports public and private Wi-Fi networks or hotspots that use the 802.11b, 802.11g, or 802.11n standard with support for WEP, WPA and WPA2 security using password authentication or or Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS); supports WPA and WPA2 secured networks using 802.1X authentication methods using password authentication; does not support connecting to ad-hoc (or peer-to-peer) Wi-Fi networks. 3G Connectivity HSDPA modem (3G) with a fallback to EDGE/GPRS; utilizes Amazon Whispernet to provide wireless coverage via AT&T’s 3G high-speed data network in the U.S. and partner networks outside of the U.S. USB Port USB 2.0 (micro-B connector). Audio 3.5 mm stereo audio jack, rear-mounted stereo speakers
Lighted leather cover:
Built-in LED reading light provides even lighting across Kindle’s entire screen
Light draws power from Kindle device. No batteries required
Premium leather exterior looks and feels great
Sleek, lightweight design protects Kindle without adding bulk
Cover folds back for easy one-handed reading
* No charger! Uses any standard micro USB charger – Kindles no longer come with chargers, so I’m keeping this one for my new paperwhite, but I have used both my Verizon MiFi charger and Blackberry charger and they work great on this.
Amazon Kindle Touch 3G with lighted leather cover – $150
For sale: Apple MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.20 GHz 15″ 120GB hard drive. Upgraded to OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion, new battery about 1 month old. Power supply. Red Speck candy shell removable case. DVD drive not operational. I no longer can find the original OS disks. All else like new. $500
Why: I don’t know. I love this laptop. But honestly, I don’t need 3 Mac laptops! I find I use my MacBook Air for everything, so this might as well get a home where it will be used. I just bought the replacement battery, it hasn’t even been used yet. I much prefer the keyboard on this model than the new Mac laptops, but that’s just me I guess.
For sale: Amazon Kindle Keyboard 3G with black leather case (aka Kindle 3). $140
Why: I only used this one for a few months before I was given the Touch – so it’s like new as well. (This is NOT the “special offers” one that displays ads)
