Personality can open doors, but only character can keep them open.
Elmer G. Letterman
The smooth talker that everyone likes as soon as they mean them will be offered opportunities. But unless they can back that up with real skills abilities, and talent, those opportunities will be lost when people realize the smooth veneer has no substance behind it.
It won’t be long before a reputation is developed, and people won’t ‘fall’ for the presentation.
Focus on your character, as well as your personality. Be someone people trust. Demonstrate your value by consistently working hard and living up to your word. Don’t neglect personality, as it’s important to make a good first impression, but don’t exclude a strong character to back that personality up.
